Area:

Central Jutland is for connoisseurs – far from the sea and beach, but even though dominated by the water. In the middle of the peninsula the beautiful Silkeborg lakes delight everybody. From the Himmelbjerg (“Sky Mountain”) with its 147 metres you have a 360 degree view from the tower. On all the lakes and canals you see the canoes gliding by, and the happy fishing enthusiasts are thrilled to go fishing for fresh water fish in the Put and Take lakes.
This area may be far away from the sea and beach, but here you have lots of other ways to enjoy the water of the many canals, fiords and lake spread over the area. Enjoy the wonderful view when going by paddle steamer on the Silkeborg Lakes or when taking the children to the Put and Take lakes for fishing.
If you choose to go on holiday in Central Jutland, do not miss Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark. In this interesting city you will find many different cultural activities, shopping possibilities and exciting places to visit.
