Renting a chalet in Stockholm
Renting a chalet close to Stockholm has many benefits.
Stockholm, with its islands and surrounding water, is one of the world's
most beautiful capital cities, and there is always something to do here.
Take a stroll among beautiful historical buildings, visit one of
the city's many cultural attractions, enjoy a delicious meal at a restaurant
or spend a day with the family at Skansen or Gröna Lund.
Renting a chalet in Stockholm provides an endless array of possibilities.
There are chalets for rent throughout the entire area, enabling you to
choose between Dalarö and the surrounding area, the Mälaröarna islands including Ekerö
and Drottningholm, Värmdö, Salsjöbaden and many
other beautiful locations that are ideal for spending your holiday time when you
are not visiting the city or on an excursion in the lovely
archipelago.
The Stockholm archipelago and Roslagen
If you prefer peace and quiet and nature rather than the hustle and bustle of the big city,
Stockholm also has an incredibly beautiful archipelago with more than
30,000 islands. Renting a holiday cottage here allows you to go swimming,
sailing, canoeing and fishing, or why not enjoy
one of the many boat tours available in the archipelago. Via us you can book accommodation for a couple of
days, a week or even longer, depending on your holiday plans.
The choice is entirely yours! We have options to suit all tastes and wallets –
from classic holiday cottages to luxury villas – regardless of whether
you want to stay close to the heart of the city, in the Stockholm archipelago, on the Mälaröarna islands,
in beautiful Roslagen with Blidö, Gräddö and Väddö, or in Öregrund.
Holidaying in Stockholm
Stockholm is a city of contrasts - water and land, history
and future, small town and big city, short winter days and
long summer evenings.
Stockholm is one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world. Stockholm
is built on 14 islands, and its location between Lake Mälaren
and the Baltic Sea means that it is surrounded by water, hence the
large number of bridges in the city. An ever popular and much appreciated excursion is to see Stockholm from
the water as the boat passes under the city's many bridges.
Lake Mälaren offers year-round fishing for those looking to land
a pike, zander or perch. For anyone looking for an active holiday, it would be difficult
to find a better destination than Stockholm. Sailing, canoeing, hiking, fishing ... not to mention
the many passenger boat tours that operate in
the archipelago.
Jazz concerts, art exhibitions, dance performances and
a large selection of theatres. There are a couple of hundred events taking place in Stockholm
on a daily basis. We also recommend a visit to Skansen, which is much more than just
an open-air museum. At Skansen you will also find a zoo and an aquarium.
The Gröna Lund amusement park is also well worth a visit. There you can choose from more than 30 rides and attractions -
or why not try them all!
30 km to the north-east of Stockholm you will find the Roslagen
archipelago, with almost 13,000 islands! For only a small fee you can purchase an island-hopping boat pass
and spend a few days exploring Roslagen, and the rest of the Stockholm
archipelago, at your leisure. A short journey on the Roslagsbanan commuter rail line
will take you from Stockholm to your departure point. Norrtälje is the main town in Roslagen
and provides an idyllic setting with authentic Swedish architecture. Visitors come here to enjoy the many
shops, bars and cafés, arts and crafts, events and museums -
all year round!
We have chalets for rent throughout the entire year. For many, renting a chalet
close to Stockholm is a more enjoyable and relaxing,
and even a more active way of spending a holiday that combines the
attractions of the big city with the wonderful nature of the surrounding area.
