Here you live in a fantastic environment by Lake Mälaren, within walking distance of Mariefred which offers much to experience and discover.
The house is located high with panoramic views of Lake Mälaren, modern standard with lots of old charm preserved; exposed beams, fireplace in the living room and stove in the kitchen. Most rooms have a breathtaking view of Lake Mälaren. There are three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two single beds and one with a bunk bed. Bathroom with lovely underfloor heating and comfortable sauna.
The area has its own beach which is a short walk from the house. From Mariefred you can take a steamboat all the way to Stockholm, a wonderful excursion through the Mälaren archipelago. If you want to get to Stockholm with municipal funds, the commuter train runs nearby. Golf and tennis courts are nearby, as well as beautiful walking areas both in the forest and along Lake Mälaren, with plenty of mushrooms and berries in the autumn.
Mariefred is a picturesque city with i.a. beautiful buildings, a narrow coal-fired tramway and a beautiful castle; Gripsholm, which arouses the desire to discover. Welcome to a wonderful holiday!

Södermanland consists of a beautiful archipelago, vigorous forests, large lakes, lively small towns and idyllic villages.
Here there are narrow roads with pretty wooden houses and green gardens with nice atmosphere which is peaceful for the soul. You will find a lot of soft forests paths, glittering water and wonderful archipelagos. Furthermore the landscape is characterized by castles, manors, hills and twisting small roads. The author, Selma Lagerlöf, often described Södermanland with the words “den sköna lustgården” i.e. the beautiful pleasure garden.
There are about 400 castles and manors in Södermanland, and many of them are open to the public.
For instance you could visit the famous Gripsholm Castle in Mariefred or the prime minister’s holiday home, Harpsund, where you can go for a walk in the beautiful garden.
