As soon as you turn off towards Brevens Bruk, calm occurs.
With the forest as your closest neighbor, only visitors in the form of deer, elk, the occasional hare can encroach on peace.
The house has been renovated with great consideration and feeling for the original. In the hall you have changed places for hanging outerwear and shoes, here is also the toilet (separate) and the stairs up to the upper floor. On the lower level you have the kitchen which is modern but renovated in a style that makes you feel the origin of the house, the old iron stove is still there and spreads a wonderful warmth on those days that are a little chilly. Here you have a dining area in the form of a kitchen island with plenty of space. A dining area is located in one of the rooms on the lower floor where there is a nice tiled stove which also provides good warmth and cosiness factor. In the second part of the living room you have a sofa group and the exit to the large terrace at the back of the house.
On the second floor there is another living room with a stove that warms well, a sofa group and a TV. The master bedroom has a double bed and a very beautiful tiled stove. The two smaller bedrooms are located on either side of the master bedroom and have 2 single beds in each room.
In the annex which is out in the courtyard is the sauna with windows facing the forest and adjacent you have the shower, space for changing and a washing machine and dryer. On top of the annex with a staircase on the outside you reach the sleeping loft which is cozy and has two single beds and there is a small landing that opens up perfectly for a coffee in the morning that you have cooked inside the attic. If you do not want to go to the large house's toilet, there is for the daring a double toilet in the larger warehouse building in the yard.
The plot around the houses consists of open green areas that are perfect for play and mischief and with the forest as the only neighbor, no human being is disturbed.
The forests around Brevens Bruk have a rich wildlife and do not be surprised if a deer crosses the road when you are out walking or riding. There are wonderful hiking opportunities around the area and if you are interested in fishing there are a number of lakes that offer good fishing, including Sottern which has both pikeperch and pike. If you visit the area during the berry and mushroom season, you should have no problem filling the basket. Bathing is done in one of the nearby lakes. Sottern has several lovely bathing places, including in Högsjö, about 6 km away where there are both jumping towers and bathing jetties. The helmet, which is just over 25 km away, has a number of bathing areas that are suitable for both large and small.
Brevens Bruk is in itself worth a visit with its unique mill environment that tells of an exciting era in Swedish industrial history. Brevens Bruk is classified as a cultural-historical environment of national interest and there are many beautiful buildings to study. If you are in Brevens Bruk over midsummer then you should definitely visit the traditional midsummer celebration which has 200 years of history and attracts large crowds of visitors every year.
If you are looking to complement the wardrobe, we can recommend a visit to Vingåker Outlet where there are quality clothes at good prices. If the golf bag is allowed to go on holiday, you have, for example, Vingåkers GK which is about 25 km away.

The lake Viken is crossed by the Göta Canal. In this area, you will also find Finnerödja which is famous for its strawberries.

The biggest city of Närke is Örebro which has a lot to offer. You might go visiting Örebro Castle, where there is a theatre in the summer.
